Breckland School Vision
We are an exceptional school: outward facing and at the heart of our community. We have uncompromising aspirations for all. Through high expectations, brave and ambitious teaching we develop a love of learning, enabling students to achieve more than they ever thought possible and thrive in an ever-changing world. We value and recognise every student, their honesty and integrity, celebrate and foster resilience and independence. We are proud of every student at the school and encourage them to be the best they can be.
To achieve our vision, we maintain a culture which promotes constructive relationships and positive behaviour. We believe in a culture where our students feel included, respected, safe and secure, and where their achievements and contributions are valued and celebrated.
Strong and visible leadership, clear and consistently applied expectations of student conduct and appearance, and high expectations of student potential, are distinct features of our school. Staff are supportive of the school’s vision and well-motivated to provide an outstanding and inclusive education for all students.
There is a calm and purposeful atmosphere where teachers can teach, and students can learn. The school is a welcoming environment; students are courteous, interacting positively with one another, with staff and with visitors. Staff know students by name and have an appreciation of their individual strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring they feel valued at the school. All students are treated equally, and their specific needs are met throughout the school day.
We inspire students to challenge themselves beyond their perceived potential, while also encouraging them to be reflective, resourceful, and resilient individuals, with a high level of self-esteem and the desire to fulfil their aspirations.[/expand]
