A-Levels and BTECS:

To study A-levels, most schools or further education centres will need you to have at least five GCSE’s with grades 9 to 4 (A*-C in old grades), with English Language and maths with a minimum of grade 4. For many A-level subjects you will need to have a grade 6 or above at GCSE in the subject.

The courses offered at the sixth form or the further education setting will differ and they may specialise in certain subjects.

You can also combine A-levels with a vocational qualifications. For example, BTEC Level 3 qualifications. These also provide UCAS points like A-levels.
