T-Levels were launched in September 2020. They mix learning within the classroom with experience whilst on the job. T-levels are broadly equivalent to 3 A Levels and are 2 year courses.
T-Levels offer students practical and knowledge-based learning at a school or college and on-the-job- experience through an industry placement of at least 315 hours – approximately 45 days.
T-Levels are being gradually rolled out and there are currently 16 available.

Compulsory elements in the T-Level Course:
- A placement within the industry lasting a minimum of 315 hours.
- The minimum pass grade in English and Maths if not achieved at GCSE.
- A technical qualifications, combining both ‘core theory, concepts and skills for an industry are and specialist skills and knowledge for an occupation or career.
